Conservatorio “Niccolò Paganini”, Genoa
30 October 2021
Supported by SIdM - Società Italiana di Musicologia
In 2013, the German flautist and musicologist Nikolaus Delius donated to Genoa's “Paganini” Conservatory his entire music collection. Such Dono Delius contains a sizeable body of materials, divided into different sections: Essays, Printed music, Copies of manuscripts and ancient Editions, and a collection of Cds. You may access the Dono Delius Catalogue on the webpage: https://www.conspaganini.it/categoria/fondo-delius
Research activities based on Dono Delius have progressively increased: the realization of several study days, seminars, workshops and concerts encourage students, flautists and musicologists to a deeper understanding of many important questions concerning the flute and its literature.
This year's Study Day – supported by Società Italiana di Musicologia – is mainly focused on the musical environment in the city of Bologna, linked to Domenico Mancinelli.
