The Complete Works of Giuseppe Giordani

This editorial project, carried out under the patronage of the SIdM, is overseen by the Centro Studi Giuseppe Giordani, founded in 2000, whose statutory aim is to promote and disseminate the figure of Giuseppe Giordani through the complete publication of his music in critical edition. The initiative seeks to present a text that meets the most rigorous musicological and critical standards while at the same time satisfying the needs of performance practice. The edition will make the works of the Neapolitan composer available in philologically established versions according to the following editorial plan: Section One (Liturgical Sacred Music); Section Two (Extra-Liturgical Sacred Music); Section Three (Oratorios); Section Four (Theatrical Works); Section Five (Cantatas); Section Six (Instrumental Music); Section Seven (Theoretical Works).
