The SIdM promotes an annual conference that provides an opportunity to take stock of ongoing musicological research at national and international level and to encourage exchanges between scholars of all generations. The annual conference is held in a different city each year in order to engage in dialogue with local institutions, encourage broad participation and publicise the activities of the SIdM and the musicological community to which it refers.
