The AFAM Doctorate in Music, Design, Art, Territories (MuDeArTe), under the patronage of the Italian Society of Musicology, is pleased to announce DISCo AFAM 2025 (Dottorandi AFAM In Sinergia Collettiva), the first national conference entirely dedicated to AFAM doctoral candidates from Italian Conservatories.
This event represents an important opportunity for discussion and networking among early-career researchers involved in doctoral programmes at Italian Conservatories. Over the course of four days, participants will have the opportunity to present their research projects, share innovative methodologies, and establish academic collaborations in a stimulating and constructive environment.
Participation
The conference is open exclusively to doctoral candidates enrolled at Italian Conservatories of Music and at accredited private music institutions (pursuant to art. 11, Presidential Decree 212/2005). Admission is granted on a first come, first served basis, with limited places available.
Call for Papers and Posters
- Deadline for submission of proposals: 15 June 2025
- Notification of acceptance: 1 July 2025
- Deadline for payment of the fee: 10 July 2025
- Participation fee: €60.00
(including coffee breaks, buffet dinner, and recreational activities)
Presentation format
- Paper: 15 minutes total (10 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
- Poster: A0 format (84 × 118.9 cm), with dedicated presentation sessions
Important information
- The event will take place exclusively in person
- Each doctoral candidate may present only one contribution (paper or poster)
- Proposals must be endorsed by the supervisor and by the Doctorate Coordinator
