The Musicological Teaching section of the Italian Society of Musicology is promoting a webinar dedicated to the tools, challenges, and prospects of distance learning for musicological disciplines in upper secondary schools, AFAM institutions, and universities.

In this period of emergency, the musicological community is rediscovering its role by emphasizing its ability to build, maintain, and strengthen socio-educational relationships. The recent provisions issued by the Ministries of Education and of University and Research urge the entire scholarly community to assume professional and ethical responsibilities while continuing to fulfil its social and educational mission. Teachers are called upon to make the most appropriate methodological and didactic choices among the countless solutions made available online. Teamwork can encourage shared decisions and the joint planning of teaching activities in the field of musicology, identifying the most suitable tools for fostering students’ inclusion and participation.
